Food Assistance

The Market is proud to accept several Food Assistance Programs that increase access to healthy and nutritious food.

  • It is easy to use your Bridge Card benefits at the Market. Bring your card to the Welcome Desk where you will be able to convert funds into SNAP tokens that can be used with vendors at the Market.

  • In addition to your SNAP tokens, you will also receive up to a $20 match in Double Up Food Bucks, which can be used on fresh, Michigan produce.

  • While WIC cards are not eligible for use at farmers markets, WIC Project Fresh is a program that offers $25 worth of coupons for the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables. To learn how to access these coupons, visit their website.

  • The program provides participants free nutrition education and $25 in coupons that can be exchanged for fresh fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods sold at local farmers markets and roadside stands. You can find out more about the program on their website.

Parking | Biking | Bus

The Market has over 100 customer parking spots located on the property. When the lot fills up, there are extra parking spaces located across Fuller Street at the Salvation Army (Saturdays only), or along several streets nearby (including Fountain & Fitzhugh).

The Market is easily accessible from The Rapid bus system, located on Route 14, which is directly out front of the Market Headhouse. Find your route on The Rapid!

A quick 10 minute walk from Rapid Bus Routes 5, 6, 13, & 19 will get you to the Market. The property is surrounded by residential housing, so it’s within walking distance for neighbors.

Neighbors are encouraged to ride their bikes to the Market. There are several bike racks on the Market’s property.
